Q:
What's the difference between a nomination and an application?
A:

The nomination form is what officially nominates any individual or organization for consideration of the James Patterson PageTurner Awards. The application form must be filled out by the nominee, or representative of a nominated organization. Judging criteria is posted on all application forms.

Q:
Can I nominate myself?
A:

Yes. If you are nominating yourself, you may simply fill out an individual award application form and submit your essay and references.

Q:
Can I nominate my own organization?
A:

Yes. To nominate your own organization, or an organization that you work for, you just need to fill out the organization award nomination form. Once received, the contact person at your organization will be notified of the nomination.

Q:
How many people or groups can I nominate?
A:

As many as you feel are qualified. However, you must complete one form for each person or entity.

Q:
When will winners be announced?
A:

Winners will be alerted by phone or email sometime around March 2008.

Q:
If a nominee doesn't win this year, are they disqualified in future years?
A:

No, but they must be re-nominated in each future round.

Q:
Can a winner from last year be nominated again?
A:

Yes, but their nomination must be submitted again for this years' awards.

Q:
Are there any word limits on the nomination forms?
A:

Yes. For the application form, a maximum of 6,000 characters is allowed (or about a page and a half of typed text, spaces included).
